You may not be looking for a physician assistant the moment you open your office for the first time. Over time, however, your office is going to get progressively busier - at least if you are doing everything properly. It may become difficult for you to be able to keep up with all of your appointments. There are a lot of things that a physician assistant can do on your behalf to help free up some time. If you choose to get a physician assistant, you may also be able to start offering more things at your office. More and more doctors' offices are offering more services simply to be able to boost revenue and keep patients at their facility. You can do the same as soon as you find a PA. A healthcare recruiter can assist you in finding one that meets all of your needs. Most physician assistants have come right out of school and they have just recently finished all of their clinical rotations. As a result, they are very familiar with multiple areas of medicine - and you can use this to your advantage. While most doctors don't list clinical rotations on their resume, PAs do because this is all that they have to go on. If you want someone in your office that can provide some assistance with cosmetic surgery or even dieting and nutrition, hiring a physician assistant may be the best thing for you. For example, some new features that you can start offering in your office as soon as you hire a physician assistant include: - Dermal fillers - Laser sculpting - Diet and nutrition Consider where you want the assistance within your office. Whether you want the physician assistant to see some of your patients, provide injections for different vaccines and even B-12, or provide other services that you can simply oversee, it is all possible. You simply have to decide which ones you want the assistance with so that you can tell a healthcare recruiter what kind of person you want to hire. Once you disclose what kind of physician assistant you want, they can begin searching through a variety of different methods to find someone who meets your qualifications. They will be responsible for combing the different resumes to see where a person has performed clinical rotations, make inquiries on your behalf to find out what doctors have to say about them, and ultimately find you someone who is going to work well within your healthcare facility. Your patients will enjoy having a physician assistant in the office just as much as you will. They will likely have to wait less time within the waiting room and they may be able to take advantage of new services that you have to offer. Once your office gets busy enough to require one, you will be able to find this position a lot faster if you work with a healthcare recruiter because they will do the majority of the work for you.
