The goal of the line, Callaway Golf says, is "straightforward adjustability" - giving golfers the ability to easily change face angles and center of gravity locations to effect noticeable changes in ball flight. The Callaway RAZR Fit driver comes standard with an Aldila RIP’d NV graphite shaft of 45.5 inches. It includes moveable weights (12 grams and 2 grams) in the heel and toe, which can be swapped to adjust the center of gravity location, thereby inducing a draw bias or a neutral setting. The multimaterial clubhead of the RAZR Fit driver has a crown of Forged Composite, Callaway's carbon composite material introduced a couple years ago. Another Callaway tech in the driver head is what the company calls Streamlined Surface Technology, a method of improving the aerodynamics. These techs improve forgiveness and boost swing speed. When you set the face to open it changes the angle by 2.5 degrees and decreases the loft by 1 degree. Set the face to close and you shut the face by 1.5 degrees and add a degree of loft, which will make the Callaway RAZR X Black Driver easier to hit. One nice feature is that the shaft is not rotated when you adjust the face angle and therefore it keeps the grip in the same position for every setting. After testing this driver, I find, it is a very powerful setting but needs a lot of clubhead speed to work effectively. It is ideal for amateurs as most of the settings promote a draw to offset the general in-built slice of your average golfer.
