The problem on intruders has been in existence since time immemorial. This brought about the need for locks and other forms of security devices. And with the continuous development of locks and security devices is the evolution of the locksmith. The Evolution of the Lock Expert In the olden times, a Locksmith is one who makes the entire lock including every detail of each part. A lock then was identified by the craftsmanship of its maker. The introduction of mass-produced locks limited the work of a Locksmith to Lock repairs on the lock. Such repairs concentrate on making the necessary replacement on the defective parts. Examples of this are replacement of door closes, hinge, frame, electric strikes and garage door repair. The modern age, however, brought a new demand for the Locksmith. A Locksmith is highly ideal to work on access control systems. Upon working on the said system, the Locksmith identifies the risk level that an institution or an individual faces. Such risk levels of course vary from one case to another, depending on what is being secured, the environment and other factors that the Locksmith may deem in need of attention. The Locksmith may then recommend, design and install appropriate combinations of locks or a higher quality of security system and thus, create a layer of security based on his analysis of the need and the risks.
