Wrinkling Wrinkling can be best understood if you find that there is a crinkled surface appearing on the walls. This happens when the paint forms a skin and makes the surface wrinkle. There may be two reasons for wrinkling. If the humidity is high then the under layers of the paint do not dry as fast as the upper layers or the coat of paint that has been applied is too thick. The remedy is to remove the wrinkled layer of paint and do it again. But, the first layers of paint or primer has to be completely dried before applying the next coat.
