A young mind is always the sharpest and quickest mind. Now the education system is not only focusing on the books, young geniuses started to choose a different path where they can prove themselves. Finding new things have always been at the heart of this generation. The students innovate things which can improve communication, transportation, defense and healthcares. Here there is an impressive innovation by Delhi university students are worth knowing and applauding. A group consists of ten students and two teachers have discovered harnessing the wind energy which is produced by the Delhi Metro Trains. A group of students are from Kalindi College in Delhi who are from the computer sciences and physics department to discover this project. With the help of the mentor they proposed the ideas to the Delhi metro rail corporations and the project got approved by them. Delhi University is also granted 15 lakhs to the team to take this project forward to the Delhi Metro. How does they discovered? The students wait for the metro train to come, as soon as it comes in or leave the underground station, a heavy wind blows out from the train which made the students started to think hard. The students chosen the location for the project to control the wind energy which produced by Delhi Metro trains. The students got permissions from the Delhi metro operators to install a small blade turbine at Chandni Chowk, the underground station. As a first part of the phase, the students installed the turbine with the cut-in speed of 1.5 m/s. The project was started by the students and the professor by 2013. The project testing was done in one of the deepest underground stations in Chandni Chowk Metro station Delhi. This observation required three blade turbines and five blade light motors. According to the student’s calculations, turbine produces about 500 watts of power per hour and they have to adjust it for the frictions and other problems on the underground. In this case the wind energy can able to produce up to 3 kilo watts of electricity per hour. But the same turbines cannot be used again. So with the help of Delhi metro engineers, the team has roped out now as per the frequency of the train, to the test the project with different turbines in different underground stations. Making surety that this process doesn’t make disturbance and safety hazards to the passengers. And so the Dmrc approved the project to move forward. The generation of the power can be virtually free which can at least bring the metro trains some benefits. India is a platform that is giving these young minds a place to experiment and innovate, and come up with something extra ordinary and where students can create their own opportunities to fill Delhi Metro Rail Job Vacancy. The result done by the students are to be encouraged. This made the students and the university to feel proud and encouraged to start their generation more innovative.
