Dressing for game day as a man is simple enough: just slap on the logo of your favorite sports team and be sure that their colors are dominant. Given that outdoor events usually take place in the warmer months, you can get comfortable in a T-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes or even sandals to stay comfortable while you are on your feet for those intense hours you will be cheering for your choice team. Sports team apparel, especially when it comes to college teams, has really made a class upgrade in the past few years. Now, dressing to show team pride does not automatically make your outfit game-day casual. Instead, you can outfit yourself with pride and still be appropriate all the way through the range of dress codes. The choices are varied because the apparel lines are varied, which works great for you because you can stay comfortable even when you look sharp. For example, Alabama Crimson Tide apparel lines include various types and styles of clothing from great vendors, meaning that you can easily access the right clothing for an upcoming event. For tips on dressing to show team support that is appropriate for any dress code, consult the following guide. Just about every article of clothing listed below--except shoes--can be found with your choice college team's logo! Casual Casual is simple enough; if you are going out for a drink with friends or going out for a walk in cool weather, wear comfortable, well-fitting jeans and tennis shoes with a T-shirt. You can opt to wear shorts instead of jeans, but try to avoid shorts with unnecessary pockets and be sure that they extend just to your knees while standing up straight and sit just above your knees when you are seated. Jean shorts are the extreme end of casual, but khaki shorts are appropriate for a wider range of activities and events. If you choose to wear a polo or buttoned-down shirt, keep them casual by leaving the top two buttons open and rolling up your sleeves to your elbow. Wear a team-appropriate cap if you choose or let your hair out. Nighttime Casual See above, but omit the shorts and T-shirt options. Stick to a great pair of jeans and a polo or buttoned-down shirt. Wear one of these shirts as indicated above. Omit the cap as well. Your hair should show and be styled well. Business Casual Put on a good set of khakis in any color and some dress shoes (leather, faux leather, or suede). Wear a belt that matches your shoe color. Do not mix blacks with browns anywhere in your attire. A long-sleeved shirt with buttons is a must. This time, wear it with the sleeves down and buttoned around your wrist. Wear a team spirit tie or leave the collar of the shirt unbuttoned. Do not leave any other buttons unbuttoned. Oh, and tuck your shirt in. Business Formal Time to suit up. Of course, you can mix khakis in a conservative color with a sports coat or blazer in a matching but not identical color. Many sports teams offer their colors on a licensed sports coat or blazer. You can either wear your team colors here or keep them to your dress shirt and tie under the coat. A tie is a necessity, not an option, at this point. Button your shirt all the way up to the collar. Black Tie Okay, maybe this option is not available yet. Sports team tuxedos with matching, high-gloss dress shoes are not on the market just yet. Maybe some day, though. For now, stick to sports team attire like certified Alabama Crimson Tide apparel for all of the above dress codes and you will look sharp no matter what.
