It is semi unvoidable to pickup some sour grapes along the way, but if you don't watch out, you can get swamped with sour grapes which is probably going to be to your own detriment and a turn off to people you are dealing with. There are always going to be other avenues to go with, but an accumulation of sour grapes can inhibit the view and the willingness to go down those new avenues that might have some good grapes for a change. In conducting a long term strategy, if for example a job, which pays fairly well, but has too much of an overload of negativity that just can't be usurped by you, it might be better to just leave and even a much different job, maybe less paying, might be the better course if this particular path is so negative. If the feedback from so called friends or potential friends is that sour, then maybe move on from them until new faces appear on the horizon. And then there can be the view, that I deserve this sour grape, because that is what I am used to and that is what I attract. This is a submissive attitude, and if it comes to that, you have to fight both internally and externally for the uplifts. It is like skiing and meandering into the wrong drifts of snow, and you have to contend with the immediate set as is but also look to ski out of it as well back onto the still existing better paths. Sour grapes can accumulate, so there needs to be more care towards either throwing them out if you can or not letting the baggage get so big, that it is getting to the point there is no way, you can find those good grapes that are either on the other side or not top far ahead.
