If you are used to pool maintenance lingo, you may have heard about problem pools; these are swimming pools that eat pool chemicals and yet they don’t seem to sparkle no matter what. There are signs that you may be having a problem pool and what you can do about it. Trees around the pool: If your pool is surrounded by trees and foliage you can be sure that they are putting a lot of stress on the pool. Trees shed leaves and such a large amount of debris will care your filter to work extra hard and finally reduce its life span; debris will also clog the impellers that will need to be unclogged by a pool service professionals. The best solution is for you to schedule a weekly pool maintenance program or finding some cost effective screen enclosures if the problem persists. Pool leakage: Swimming pools can easily have leakages in places where there is plumbing or walls and the drainage system. If you realize that you are constantly adding fresh water to your pool even during the cooler months, pool leak detection will be in order. Swimming pools can have leaks anywhere there is plumbing present, as well as on the walls and drainage system. If you find that you constantly need to add fresh water to your swimming pool, even during the cooler months, you probably have a leak. You want to invite a pool service technician to do pool leak detection especially is there are no visible leakages; part of your swimming pool repair schedule will, therefore, involve pool leak repair. No main drain: Your swimming pool has been designed to pull water both from the skimmer and the main drain; there are residential pool service technicians who normally cap off main drains to stem leakages or as a solution to another problem. You may also find a pool that has a clogged main drain or may be designed to be without one. Low circulation slows down the filtering process and the pool cleaning process. If you have a slow or clogged main drain, remember that your pool will be working at half its capacity; call in a pool repair technician who will be able to solve the problem. Your pool equipment is too small: Your pool equipment and pool pump supplier have different sizes of equipment that have horsepower needs that are designed to meet specific swimming pool sizes. If you have a pool pump or filter that is too small, there will be a problem with poor circulation and it will stress all other plumbing and other equipment. The solution is to have a pool repair technician to do the correct pool equipment installation that meets the filter and pump requirements of your pool.
