The oldest and most glorious civilization in the world, travelers who visit Egypt usually believe they don't have enough time to explore all the major monuments and highlights of the country. A destination that hosts a huge amount of historical sites, interesting places to discover, and many exciting activities to do, tourists who spend their vacations in Egypt should plan their holidays well in order to make the best of it. Today, we will shed some light on the most important attractions and activities that never should be missed while in Egypt. The Pyramids of Giza Now, this is the most famous, greatest, and perhaps most ancient historical site in the whole world. The Pyramids of Giza, built between the 26th and the 25th centuries BC, the pyramids amaze tourists who travel to Egypt. These huge three structures that served as the royal burial site of ancient Egyptian kings are gigantic. Even the measurements of each of the three pyramids are quite accurate and their huge size make scientists until today wonder how the Pharaohs were able to build such an impressive constructions more than 4500 years ago. Travelers who enjoy their vacations in Egypt should never ever miss the chance to visit the pyramids of Giza.

Diving or Snorkeling in the Red Sea

Many travelers from various regions around the globe travel to Egypt just to dive or snorkel in the Red Sea. Cities like Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Marsa Allam, and many other resorts offer a diving experience that is hard to be found anywhere else. The Red Sea is popular for several colorful fish species, magnificent coral reefs, and wonderful white sand beaches. While in the country travelers who tour Egypt should always spend two or three nights in one of the many remarkable resorts situated on the shores of the Red Sea. The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities Being one of the oldest and largest museums in the world, the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities should never be missed by travelers who spend their holidays in Egypt. With hundred thousands of displays dating to various eras of the ancient Egyptian history, scholars believe if visitors spend a couple of seconds exploring each display of the Egyptian museum, they would spend days to finish their visit. This is why some certain sections of the museum travelers who tour Egypt are advised to visit some certain sections of the Egyptian Museum.The most notable section would surly be the one dedicated to the treasures of King Tut Ankh Amun. Discovered in 1922 in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, all the belongings of the young king were made out of pure gold. Other interesting sections in the Egyptian museum would include the Mummies’ hall, the Akhenaton section, the displays of the Middle Kingdom, and much more!

The White and Black Desert The Western Desert featured by its many oases, natural attractions, and some significant monuments became popular among tourists who travel to Egypt during the past few decades. The most important attraction of the Western Desert of Egypt would be the White Desert characterized with the bizarre shapes of white shock rocks that form an amazing natural scene. Other places to be explored would be the Black Desert, the Crystal Mountains, the Siwa Oasis, and the natural water springs that have curative and beneficial effects.

The Karnak Temple The Karnak complex of temples is the largest Pharaonic monument in history. Constructed over a period of time that extends for around 1000 years, the constructions works of the temple began in the 20th century by the 11th dynasty. Each and ever King that ruled over ancient Egypt wanted to have his own contribution to the Karnak. The result travelers who visit Egypt view today is an amazing collection of breathtaking constructions from different periods of the ancient Egyptian history.

We have to note that these are only some of the most amazing places to be explored by travelers who are planning to spend their vacations in Egypt. Other major highlights would include the Temple of Abu Simble, the Valley of the Kings, the Saladin Citadel, the Philae Temple, the Monastery of Saint Catherine, and Fort Qaitbey in Alexandria, Khan El Khalili, and the historical mosques of Cairo.
