When you conduct drug testing in the DFW area, there are several ways for you to go about finding the right company. You want to make it easier for your staff and stay organized throughout the entire process. By following a few tips, the testing can be conducted, you can rely on the results, and a significant amount of work is done for you. Conduct it On Site It's going to be best if DFW drug testing is conducted on site. The moment you start asking employees to go to a lab, it's going to get more complicated. Not all employees have reliable transportation, and if you put it in their hands, they may continue to delay – which prevents you from getting results in a timely fashion. This means you want to do everything you can to make it easier for employees. Tap them at work, tell them where to go during regular working hours, and then allow them to go back to work. This way, you don’t deal with a long list of excuses as to why they haven’t gone down to the lab. Work with a Medical Review Officer A medical review officer, also known as an MRO, will help you to stay organized and maintain the integrity of all results. The test results you get will be more reliable, and ensure that you're DOT or state compliant. Not all MRO’s offer the same services, so you will want to compare a few before you choose one administrator over another. Make it Random It's a good idea to make the drug testing random so no one knows when to expect it. This way, you will be able to know for sure whether employees are using in their off time or not – and make the necessary adjustments based upon your findings. Research Third-Party Administrators It’s up to you to take the time to research the options in the DFW area and determine who is capable of providing you with the most help. You can review whether they have medical review officers on staff and what services they offer. Obviously, the more services that are available, the easier it will be to manage the process and spend less time on this aspect of your business. Stay Organized There's a lot going on in your operations and drug testing is only a small portion of that. Unfortunately, it's also very demanding - and more so when you have more employees that need to be tested. This means that staying organized is critical. Software can be used to help you complete paperwork, randomize who will be drug tested, and show you results of employees' tests. Working with a MRO can also help you with organization. DFW drug testing will be easier when you follow a few tips. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help, especially if it means giving you access to more services. You can then run a drug testing program more effectively and not have to worry about whether you are compliant or not.
