Washing machines have come a long way. Today, they are an essential part of every household. From advanced washing cycles, large capacity drums to reduced noise levels, the washing machine market is flooded with a wide range of washing machines of different types and sizes. Since you have many brands and models to choose from, it’s okay to be confused while buying a new washing machine. Well, you would want it to be more feature-loaded than the old one. But, what if it doesn’t meet your laundry needs! We are here to help. Here is a step-by-step guide that discusses what all you should consider while buying a washing machine. Top Loading vs. Front Loading: What you prefer - a front-loading or a top-loading washing machine? If you are not comfortable with bending, there is no substitute to a top loading washing machine. On the other hand, if you pay more attention to the design and aesthetics of a washing machine, then you should opt for a front loading washing machine. Capacity: Capacity is an important factor. It is imperative that your washing machine is not overloaded regularly. Now this calls for an accurate count of your family members. If you have a family of 4-5 members, go for the washing machine with a capacious drum. However, if you live all by yourself, you should not bother much about the washing capacity. A smaller capacity model will also work well for you. Space: You are getting the preferred washing machine model within your budget, and it fits into your laundry paradigm too. Everything is fine except that the washing machine you chose takes a lot of space inside your house. Here is the logic, which would overpower your affection for a particular model. If the room in which you want to place the washing machine is small, never go for a bigger model. You can get all the desired features in smaller models too. Make sure that you gauge the space to avoid falling in love with a model that does not fit well. Also, if you have to place a washing machine near your bedroom, go for Samsung that has launched washing machines with vibration reduction technology. Those washing machines can be placed in locations next to your bedroom without any chance of distraction due to excessive vibration. Budget: Buying a washing machine is not a small investment. You need to set a price range and look for the best models within your budget. Thankfully, there are many washing machine models from brands like Samsung which are spacious, stylish and have a budget-friendly price range. Features: The features you need in your washing machine depend on how it's going to be used. Drum size should be considered if you have a large family. Spin speed feature is something you should look for as a mandatory option. The faster the spin is, the lesser time it will need for washing and drying. If you hate wasting water, then opt for machines that promise low water usage. Leading brands such as Samsung have launched washing machine models that need a smaller amount of water. Also, less water utilization means less energy needed to heat the water. You need to consider all these factors while zeroing in on a washing machine model, so that it serves your purpose in the best possible manner.
