Today I had this honor to take interview from a young but quite skilled and well known theatre artist/writer/director Mr. Nouman Mehmood. Nouman is genuinely a gifted person with great potential as an artist. Nouman is an arts graduate, skilled and internationally exposure having personality; he has been working in Pakistan’s reputed performing arts organization Thespianz Theatre as an associate director cum arts manager from last 7 years. Without a doubt, Nouman is one of those rare individuals that came along only once every few years; he is highly intelligent, inquisitive, motivated, and creative. Nouman has just the right combination of assertiveness and respect to make him a joy to work with in performing arts. He takes directions very well, but he is not timid about questioning new details or validation. For his honor’s projects and unique work, I took his interview that I would normally take from the gems who work and shine in corporate worlds. I met with Mr. Nouman in Islamabad while he and his organization’s team working on a very unique issue which is Anti Book Piracy awareness, and the way he described me about how he planned this campaign by using colorful mascot characters for conveying Anti Book Piracy’s message to their targeted audience those were mostly 10 to 16 year ages children, this was very admiring to me and I was surprised to discover his extra ordinary artistic and creative abilities. He has been collaboratively working with various cultural centers in Pakistan such as U.S. Consulate Karachi, Goethe Institut German Cultural Center Pakistan, PACC Pakistan American Cultural Center; he is the lead person for managing U.S. cultural envoys who visited Pakistan for collaborative working with his organization Thespianz Theater.
