As the show’s title hints at, it’s a wintry themed production, set in a mystical land filled with ice and snow. The clowns in its story turn to sight gags and props to generate big laughs, often with big wonder. It’s no surprise that when he eventually decided to pursue clowning as a profession, his routines were creative and betrayed an exceptional imagination. As his renown for big productions snowballed, he began to teach. Many of his students later went on to do acrobatic work with Cirque Du Soleil. By 1988, Polunin had created a clowning show meant for a grand stage. Attention and acclaim for the show snowballed, making him well-known in Russia, and quickly earned him a name in England when he moved the show there. By the time it opened in America, it had generated enough word-of-mouth that ticket sales soared. Now the show is touring across the country, and has opened in Miami, FL.
