A bustling metropolis, famous for its wide boulevards and iconic attractions, Paris has become one of the top tourist destinations in the world. Luring visitors with its unique Parisian charm, the French capital offers up an exclusive array of stunning locations, ranging from the legendary Champs- Élysées – believed to be the highest-priced strip of real estate in Europe - to the historic Latin Quarter. Although it is landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum which tend draw the crowds, Paris also boasts an eclectic nightlife, thus proving itself as a city of versatility and entertainment. From its selection of relaxed cafes and bars, to the chic nightclubs and daring cabaret acts, one has the opportunity to experience an alternative side to Paris. Home to the French cancan, Le Moulin Rouge Cabaret is probably one of Paris’ most renowned shows to experience after dark. Originally established in 1889 by Joseph Oller, it is situated close to Montmartre (home to the Sacré-Cœur), on Boulevard de Clichy and is recognisable from the giant red windmill adorning its roof. The current show, Féerie, was the first of the 21st century and opened in 1999. Including a troupe of 100 artists and 60 Doriss Girls – the Moulin Rouge dancers - the show combines fantastical costumes made up of feathers, rhinestones and sequins, with sets featuring moving staircases, swings, live animals and even a giant aquarium! For a unique night and definitely designed for the more daring personalities, it is well worth visiting Régine's Club Privé, which is situated just off the Champs- Élysées. Here they play host to a series of different events; most notable is the Au Bonheur des Dames. Paris is known as the City of Lights and there is no better way to experience the dazzling city at night than to sail down the River Seine on one of the many dinner cruises offered. Known as the heart of Paris, the Seine is an important part of the city, having provided water and transportation for its people for over 2,000 years. It has also grown into a main tourist attraction, offering visitors the chance to view the major attractions of Paris in a relaxed environment: perfect for those who prefer to avoid the commotion of the bars and nightclubs. Whether you are looking to party with the Parisians in one of their trendy nightclubs, take in a cabaret show, or simply lie back and watch the sights in comfort, the French capital has it all. And, with frequent flights to Paris from around the world, it is easy to party over the weekend before flying back to work on the Monday!
