Justice tickets are now available and can be bought or sold online at StubHub.com! The French have always had a sense of style—just look at dance duo Daft Punk, which has captivated audiences in Europe and America with the same intensity for years. But the shiny robot duo need to step aside for a younger pair of beat-masters who have taken the electronic/dance scene by storm. With their trademark leather jackets and symbolic glowing cross, Justice has both the hot music and style to match Daft Punk, and yet are definitely their own unique entity. Formed by Gaspard "The Moustache" Auge and Xavier "The China" de Rosnay in 2003, they were dedicated to making catchy dance music that paid tribute to their favorite bands. But unlike many dance artists, they’re background included music outside of traditional dance genres, like metal, hip-hop and rock. They’re first big hit was a remix of Simian’s "Never Be Alone," which they created for a Parisian college radio station’s remix contest. That got them some notice. In a short time, they were signed with the Ed Banger label, which released the song on a dance compilation, then was licensed by International Deejay Gigolo Records, which re-released it as "We Are Your Friends." The newly titled track became a smash in clubs throughout Europe and online. That got Justice more exposure, and the new interested brought the duo big business in the form of remixing. They remixed artists as diverse as N.E.R.D. ("She Wants to Move"), Britney Spears "Me Against the Music") Death From Above 1979 ("Blood on Our Hands") and Daft Punk ("Human After All"). The remixes earned them mass recognition from dance fans, but it was 2007’s "D.A.N.C.E." that made them international stars, a song that was incredibly catchy and sported a colorful video filled with hipster T-shirts that constantly shifted and evolved. The song was widely considered a tribute to Michael Jackson, whose Off the Wall was an obvious influence for the French duo. "Do the D.A.N.C.E./1 2 3 4 fight /Stick to the B.E.A.T. /Get ready to ignite/You were such a P.Y.T./Catching all the lights/Just easy as A.B.C. /That's how you make it right," the lyrics go, referencing "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" and "ABC." The eye-catching video earned them new fans online via YouTube, and Vice Records issued post free downloads of the band’s remixes on their site. By that point, an actual original release was highly anticipated. Cross, their debut, was finally released in 2007. The record was a critical success, earning the group numerous plugs for their talent and throwing everything but the kitchen sink (as far as electronic music goes) into their record. Bleep, bips, heavy beats, catchy vocals and more were all thrown into the blender. Now, Justice is coming to a city near you in the states.
