Are you sick of being in debt and you just cannot deal with it anymore? Do you get sick of avoiding collection calls and people coming to get the money you don't have for them? If this sounds like you, then you better be ready for a roller coaster of a ride because that is what it is going to be, even with good debt management. Getting out of debt is not easy and you will have to be disciplined, but once you are out of debt you will be so much happier with your life. Here is how to use good debt management. First, you have to have a budget in place. For a full month get a receipt for each and every purchase no matter how large or small and keep it. After that month go back through and add everything up into different categories like, rent, utilities, car payment, car expenses, gasoline, groceries, alcohol, going out, genereal spending, necessities, etc. This will give you a good picture of where your money is going. Now, go through and start setting up your budget. Do not forget expenses like car registration and other things that might only come around once a year or once every few months like oil changes. Figure these in monthly as well so that the money will be there when it is time for those expenses. Make sure you take a good hard look at where your money is going and budget for necessity and not for what you want. You will be changing your lifestyle to get out of debt because it is the only way. You should even look at your housing situation. If you can take on a roommate to help you with the rent and bills, then you should. If moving into a place that is less expensive is an option, then you should do that. Anything to save money and find money to pay off your debts faster. Remember, this is all temporary and after your debts are paid you will have a better opportunity to go to a type of lifestyle you can afford without going into debt for it. Last, you should start selling things you no longer use or need. If you have 100 pairs of shoes, then it is time to cut down to 10 or 15. If you own a ton of DVDs or CDs, then it is time to get rid of what you don't need, which would be pretty much all of them. If you have more than one television, then cut down to one or even none. You would be amazed at what you can find to sell for some money. Sell your things online with eBay or Craigslist or have a garage sale. This is how you can practice good debt management and get out of debt fast. Get all the information you need on Good Debt Management here: Good Debt Management
