Did you know that there are more than 100 million blogs online today! They are mediums, with which owners try to make money from home directly or indirectly. Howevere most of these blogs are ran poorly and the owners do childish mistakes as to the content. A very nature of the blog is that it is like a diary, full of useful information about a narrow topic and it cannot be, I repeat, it cannot be, full of ways to make money online. In this article I have collected a list of 10 mistakes to avoid in blogging. 1. Use Blogs As Direct Ways To Make Money Online. Mistake number one is to load your blog full of ads and the reader notice immediately that the posts are there just to draw the visitor to click the army of affiliate links. It is clear that this kind of the content does not convince the reader, neither to build trust. However a commercial blog must be monetized, but in a very tasteful way, so that the main idea remains. The idea is an information sharing. You see nobody wants to be an object of the sales pitch but on the other hand many readers want recommendations about certain links. 2. Publish Only The Opinions Of The Blog Owner. By proven tips I mean generally accepted ways to make money online, which all of the visitors can adopt into their own online marketing. The idea is that the blog owner collects working online marketing tips from various sources and then will share them to others. 3. Do Not Answer The Comments. In todays online contacts, the interaction is important and people, who have left comments to your blog post want to hear, what you respond. The question is not about one comment but about contact building, which is a multistep process taking the time of several contacts. 4. Argue Always With Your Commentators. To respond to those people, who have written their comments is a very diplomatic job. Despite of the fact that many of them are very aggressive and say their opinions against your face, you job is to respond in a diplomatic way and to turn the conversation into a positive one. 5. Design Your Blog Poorly. Today most blogs look just fine and have both great content and great look. If your blog is poorly designed, it will not convince the readers. The written content is not everything, because the question is also about the image building. 6. Keep Your Blog Unchanged. Like I said above, the very nature of the blog is that it is almost like a diary. That means that if you do not update it regularly, you will loose readers. Once they have gone, it is not easy to get them back, because they have experienced a disappointment. Write about three posts per week to keep your readers happy. 7. Use Duplicate Content. I have never understood recommendations to use duplicate content in your personal blog. What an idea is that? It will hurt the credibility immediately. You must write all of your blog content by yourself and to keep them fresh and personal. 8. Sell User Information. If you have a list of users, never ever sell it. The blog community must be confidential with the only exception of the commentators, who will give their names by themselves. It is never a job of the blog owner to reveal the names of his club. 9. Write Always Quickly And Never Proofread Your Posts. If your posts are badly written, even a quality topic cannot save it. The language must be of high quality and it cannot include a single grammar error. Remember that the quality is king online, especially as to the blog posts, which are always seen very personal ones. 10. Use Always Popups. The greed is always awake in our minds and the temptation to use popups and other ads as part of our blogs is clear. But even one popup or ad can drive a visitor away. We have to learn to keep in our minds that a blog is a personal medium for personal information sharing. It is not an advertising medium. These ten proven tips to avoid are very pragmatic.
