3 Methods to Establish Credibility & Trust for your Online Dollar Store

While many of the basics associated with opening a brick and mortar dollarstore still apply, opening an online dollar store takes even more. You have options regarding how you carry inventory, the variety of items you make available to your shoppers, and even the checkout process. Even more than differences in operational methods, online success requires that you clearly communicate information that underscores your credibility. You must build both your personal credibility and the credibility of your brand to all visitors arriving at your website. Only those who trust you and what you offer will stay, shop and purchase products from your store. In this article I present 3 important methods for you to establish the trust and credibility shoppers expect before spending their hard earned money.

#1) Offer guarantees to your customers. In the online world, this is one of the most important steps for you to take with your dollarstore shoppers. A rock solid guarantee is one of the quickest and easiest ways to establish trust and credibility. Be crystal clear about your guarantee policies. Make sure they are prominently posted and easy to understand. Stand behind your guarantee without exception.

#2) Join reputable online organizations. For example; join the Better Business Bureau. Then advertise your affiliation with them. This will reassure shoppers that you are a credible business. It will send the message that not only do you stand behind your products, but that you are aligned with others who share that same position. Once again this is definitely a requirement if you have the goal to quickly establish that you have a trustworthy and reliable business for shoppers to deal with.

#3) Clearly communicate the benefits you, your dollarstore website and your products offer to your customers. Customers want to know the benefits they will receive by making purchases from your store. Don’t leave them guessing. Clearly communicate exactly the benefits they can expect from each of the products you sell. But don’t stop there; include details about the benefits of purchasing from your online store.

While each of these steps may seem small, the impact of combining them will have an amazing positive impact on your online dollar store success. Just remember that this is only the beginning. Focus on your online customer service. Don’t ever allow your dollarstore to fail to meet or even exceed all commitment you make. You’ll be rewarded with loyal shoppers who tell others about you business.
