The internet has made it possible for ANYONE to own a web site. And if you don't want to spend any money to set it up you can use a free blog service. That way it won't cost you any money – ever. The only problem with this way of working is that the so-called 'free' sites always come at a price. And that price is usually unwanted advertisements being placed on your web pages that generate money for the company, but are of no use to you. You are also restricted as to what you can and cannot place on the pages yourself. And so this can really limit the amount of money you can earn online – if any at all. So you need to ask yourself if you're really interested in making money online, or just saving a few bucks? If you're really serious in running your own money-making web site, you HAVE TO INVEST in yourself. What I mean by this is you need invest whatever it takes to learn how to create your own web site and publish it online with a reputable and reliable hosting company. You can get really good hosting for your web site for as little as $4.50 or less per month, and the financial rewards can be great, as I'll explain. You can create a web site on any subject you want, and, even if you don't have anything to sell, you can still make money. Let's say, for example, you love to play golf so you want to create a web site all about golf. So you design your web site, fill the pages with useful information about how to play golf, club house etiquette, different golf courses, golfing holidays, golfing equipment, etc, and upload it to the internet. You then need to place pay-per-click advertisements on your web site. The best place to go for these is Google. You can create an AdSense account with Google in only a few minutes, generate the code for your ads and copy & paste the code onto your web pages. PPC ads work by visitors clicking on your ads and you earn money for each and every click. The amount of money you earn per click can vary from only a few cents, up to $30 or more, depending on the niche topic of your site. But with only a few clicks a day, you can still earn a substantial amount of money every month. Next you need to find some affiliate programs. Just browse the internet to look for appropriate companies. For instance, for your golf site you could search for "golf equipment affiliate program" or "golf holiday affiliates" or something similar. Alternatively you could also search for appropriate companies and products through the big online affiliate networks such as Click Bank or Commission Junction. Affiliate programs work by you placing advertisements for products on your web site and if someone clicks on the ad and buys the product, you earn a commission for every sale. And some affiliate programs pay as much as 75% commission. So if you had a golf site with plenty of PPC ads and affiliate links on every page, and you can attract plenty of visitors to your web site, you can easily earn $100/day or more from your web site. But how do you attract plenty of visitors to your web site every day? By filling your web site with as much useful and quality information as you can and then writing and submitting articles to the online article directories so that people can read the useful information in your article and then click through to your site to read even more. And while they are there, hopefully they will click on a few PPC ads or click on an affiliate link and make a purchase. Just remember that the more pages your web site has, the more ads you can display and so there is more likelihood of every visitor clicking on something they see of interest. So learn how to build all your own web sites, and if you can generate at least $100/day from each site, then the more sites you have, the better.
