Super Omega3? Would you buy this just because it is called super Omega3? It is not that long ago that I read an article by a friend of mine who was ranting about people who advertise their fish oil as super Omega3. Just because some dodgey salesperson puts super in front of their Omega3, it does not mean it is a better oil. You are far better off, checking the companies website to see that their oil has been purified by a process called molecular distillation to remove the impurities. Most of the worlds oceans are now contaminated by heavy metals such as lead, mercury and PCBs. While you are at their website check just where they source the fish from that they obtain the oil from. The company that I buy my oil from sources their fish from the pristine waters of the Southern ocean just off the coast of New Zealand. The fish that they catch are naturally rich in the essential fatty acids DHA and EPA. These fatty acids are necessary for good mental health. You are checking the source of the fish, and to see if the fish are processed close to where the fish are landed, to see how fresh the oil is. This is necessary because some companies buy their oil by the tanker load from overseas. This oil is not always fresh. Some companies are adept at hiding rancid fish oil by adding flavoring to it. The term essential means that our body does not manufacture these fatty acids, but must rely on diet alone to obtain them. As fish, even those from the pristine waters of the above ocean must have their oil molecularly distilled for their oil to be safe for us to consume. You should realize that Omega3 fish oil helps to prevent us from suffering a heart attack. Yes, a regular supplementation of Omega3s help to reduce the severity of a heart attack. And helps to reduce blood pressure. Fish oils help to maintain the elasticity of the artery walls, and also stabilizes the hearts rhythm. Good stuff is it not. Well that is all for now folks. Please do not buy Omega3 products just because they put super in front of the name. You would be better off checking the companies website.
