What's The Best Way to Wear a Windcheater Jacket?

Fashion & Cosmetics

Windcheater jackets are quite rare in the fashion world. Only a few brands make and manufacture this style of jacket. One of the more popular examples is the Superdry windcheaters. However, because this style of jacket is relatively rare, there is not much information about the way to wear them. Fortunately, that is what we are here for; during the course of this article, we will take a look at the windcheater and explain the dos and don'ts of this style. They make a fantastic jacket, and it would be a shame to miss the style simply because you do not know how to wear them. So read on…

Versatility
Probably the largest advantage of this style of jacket is its versatility. They are much more flexible, both in terms of style and of fluidity and movement, than other styles of jackets, such as macs or bombers.

  • Figure flattering: They tend to borrow from the mod look, which as you know—if you have any knowledge of the fashion world—are well known for their tailoring. This means that the majority of windcheaters, particularly the Superdry windcheaters, are extremely flattering and stylish. Superdry is a brand that prides itself on creating tailored and well-fitted clothing—their windcheaters are no exception. These jackets create a fantastic silhouette – in men they broaden the shoulders, and create straight lines, in women, they curve in all the right places.
  • Versatility of fashion: the windcheater is a great choice for fashion lovers, because they suit an incredible range of styles. For instance, you can mix them up with formal clothing, to create a semi-formal look (great for work, or evening events). Alternatively, you can dress down, and create a casual look, but one that looks fantastic.

Making the Right Choice for You
It is important that you consider several factors when choosing your windcheater jacket. You will definitely find a jacket that suits you, but you have to understand how to choose the right jacket for this purpose; a jacket that looks good on somebody else, will not necessarily look good on you. Follow our simple rules, and we know that you will make the right choice.

  • Cut: windcheaters are slimmer than most other types of jacket, and so you need to make your purchase according to the type of clothing you wear most. If you like to wear figure-flattering clothes that is relatively thin, then choose a jacket in your size. However, if you prefer wearing chunkier clothing (hoodies, knits, etc.) then you will normally need a size up. These jackets are great for layering, and so if you like to layer, buy a bigger size.
  • Colour: you can choose from a number of different colours, so do try to consider the issue carefully. We advise that you decide to either make it a focal point, or make it a complementary item. If choosing a focal point, make sure that you choose a design that is colourful or interesting, but if you are choosing a complementary jacket, then opt for something plain, like black.

In summary, the Superdry windcheater is a great addition to any fashion lover's wardrobe, but there are a few things to bear in mind. If you are interested in browsing a collection of windcheater jackets, then please visit Triple S Clothing.
