Fashion can be a pain. It is difficult for some of us to know what looks good and what does not look quite so good. If you are a person that wants to dress fashionably and funky, but you do not know how, then this article is for you. Read our guide and you will soon be making your way to the heady heights of fashion. It is relatively easy, and once you know the ropes, you will be wondering why you were not doing it all along. What Are Your Icons Wearing? Imitation is a great way to learn how to dress. Look in the magazines to see whose style you like. If you like a look then you can 'borrow' from them. For instance, if you love someone's fashion and they are wearing Panuu clothing, then you know that Panuu clothing may be the perfect brand for you. Once you know your favourite brands and styles, it makes it much easier to find the clothes that you like. Furthermore, because you are copying people that are cool, you know that you will be cool too. You can also copy the way that they are wearing the clothes. For instance, if they wear their trousers with a roll up, then you can do the same. You may think this is cheating, but this is what the fashion magazines are there for, to act as a guide. You are supposed to copy. Once you realise this you will be in a much better position to dress well. Work Out the Colour Wheel Many people have trouble matching their colours. However, this is one of the easiest problems to rectify and all you need is an artist's colour wheel (just Google it and you will find an example of a colour wheel). These are easy to use. Colours located next to each other are complimentary; colours on opposite sides are contrasting. Colours that are located near to each other, but not touching, often clash. Make a Model of Yourself A great thing to do is to take a full front photograph of you and cut it out. It needs to be relatively large- A4 is ideal. Then you can create cuts outs of the design of clothes that you like. Rest these on your photograph to see if they suit. This can work really well and professional designers do something similar when they are creating prototype clothing, but they use standard body shapes rather than individuals. Get a Second Opinion If you are unsure whether a style looks good on you or not, then seek help from others. Choose someone whose fashion sense you trust and who you trust to tell you the truth and ask them what they think of your outfit. Take their advice on board, but if you think they are wrong then seek further advice. If you follow these rules then you will be well on your way to fashion greatness. It really is that simple.
