Newton’s first law is also called the law of inertia. The inertia of the object is measured by its mass. Mass of an object is determined by measuring how it is difficult for an object to accelerate. It helps one to realize more about motion. Newton’s first law states that the object that is at rest stays at that place and the object in motion stays in motion with same speed and in the same direction unless the action is taken by the unbalanced force. The unbalanced force comes from external force. Force can be explained as a push or a pull that is exerted by an object to another. Newton’s first law describes that if the net force of a particular object is zero then the object will automatically have zero acceleration Newton’s first law is made up of two clauses where one clause predicts the behavior of the stationary object while the other clause predicts the behavior of the moving objects. Both behaviors can be summarized by saying that all objects keep doing what they were doing unless action is taken by unbalanced force. The objects normally resist the changes in their current state and they tend to keep what they were doing. For Newton's first law to apply, the action must be taken by unbalanced force. Newton’s first law is applied in many areas.
