Memorable Quote 1: Liz believes that we each have something unique to share with the world, and doing so will lead to us being more vibrant, dynamic and enthusiastic in all areas of our lives.
Author Comment / Biography: Originally from Scotland, Liz was awarded the first ever First Class Honors B.A. in Dance in the UK. After graduating from the University of London’s Laban Center for Movement and Dance, and the London Contemporary Dance School, Liz enjoyed a successful career as a professional dancer in NYC, LA, London and Tokyo. One of her more unusual assignments resulted in her being featured as the first full-sized dancing hologram at Madame Tussaud’s Waxwork Museum in London next to Dr Who and the Daleks!
Some of her most fun jobs were performing with various recording artists, including Janet Jackson and Dr John.
Liz said, “The world of dance has taught me…
the importance of following your dreams
the value of persistence
personal discipline as the key to success
not to take rejection personally
the skill of working in a team
how to deal with prima donnas (literally)
and, most importantly, how to know when to take the stage as the star and when to be a supportive follower.”
Liz believes that we each have something unique to share with the world, and doing so will lead to us being more vibrant, dynamic and enthusiastic in all areas of our lives. She is an expert at helping individuals re-discover and connect to their Core Brilliance, so that they (and their organizations) go from ordinary to extraordinary.
Liz brings to all of her work an infectious enthusiasm and a unique combination of dance as a dramatic teaching metaphor, engaging stories and practical ideas to enhance participants working and personal life.
For over 20 years her workshops and seminars have acted as catalysts, assisting others in practical ways of bringing greater purpose to their lives, exploring new possibilities, and cultivating the skills and confidence in themselves to go after what they really want.
Liz was recently chosen by the Metro DC chapter of the National Speakers Association as the Rising Star 2011-2012
Liz is certified with Success Unlimited Network™, one of the oldest coach training organizations in the US, attended the School of Small Business Coaching, and is a founding member of the International Association of Coaches. She is a graduate of the acclaimed Peak Potentials Program for excellence in facilitating skills and is certified as a trainer with Consulting Resource Group International, a global leader in personal and professional development programs and solutions.
When she was 21, Liz moved from Scotland to NYC, to a country where she knew no one, to follow her life-long dream of being a professional dancer, and to dance at Carnegie Hall (which she did). This adventuring spirit still lives on in her today.
