It is rather obvious that wells run dry and for example if someone is starting to drive across a desert, the new terrain offers a stark contrast to the former terrain. But in the area of relationships, meeting new people, career pursuits, similar type situations can present as a type of well running dry situation but the observation as such is not made because it is a different forum and while you might put your hands up and give up if a well runs dry, other situations that are very similar are approached with even more effort and motivation partially do to the lack of observation as to how the situation really is. This is maybe because we are supposed to stay motivation through thick and thin, and while motivation, devotion and say a good work ethic is laudable, it simply doesn't pay to try and push through something that has probably dried up as much as the sands of the Sahara. If the better observation is made that this is really the case, it is easier to give up, as you should, without compromising your own ability to keep going, and be persistent in your efforts, as you more so realize that this is not going to bring about anything in the ballpark of the wanted results. Motivation, should not be evenly applied to all situations and motivation needs to be combined with better observational inputs to make sure that you are not passing go and forging ahead well onto the trail to nowhere, a trail that is already dry and has no chance of presenting even some sort of oasis. By being observant in combination with dedicated effort, you can shift away, if need be, giving yourself permission in this case to let go and look beyond this dried up situation and circumstance and hopefull reapply your good and earnest efforts elsewhere.
