The high altitudes complementing the high spirits of the devotees, mighty mountains guarding the holiness of a place set beautifully in the land having bountiful of nature, this is Badrinath, one of the most sacred towns in India. Once the abode of Lord Vishnu as per mythology, it is one out of four ‘dham’ or the ultimate shrine of the Hindus. At an elevation of 3100 meters, it is located between the two mountains called Nar and Narayana with River Alaknanda flowing adjacent to it. Since the time immemorial, its beauty and grandeur is unperturbed symbolic of the mighty and inundating powers of devotion and belief of the pilgrims who flock here irrespective of its high altitudes.
