Hi today we are going to take a look at search engine optimization, especially for article writing. What is search engine optimization? Search engine optimization is the method of article writing that presents the article with the highest search engine ranking possible. Search engine ranking is the listing on search engine pages, starting with page one, of different search engine listings presented in the form of the highest ranking listing on downward. So the higher your search engine ranking the higher your listing (or article) will appear in the list. This is a bid deal because the highest listings, especially those that appear on the first page, are the listings most seen by potential readers and customers, and thus receive the most search engine traffic to those listings. So you want your listing (or article) to have the highest search engine ranking possible. Search engine optimization allows you to do just that. So how do you search engine optimize an article? There are many ways authors can do this. First is the choosing of your title. The title should accurately reflect what the article is about and be of course relevant to the article. But even more importantly, the title should have a keyword or two that is directly related to the article subject matter. An article about fish should have a title like "Fish in the Sea", that is, with two important keywords, fish and sea. The title should be eye catching and distinctive; there is perhaps no more important part of the article than the title. The title is what the reader or customer will see first about your article. Also, the summary or meta description is important. This is listed along with the title in the search engine rankings. The summary or meta description is the second thing the reader or customer will see. The description should be brief but very imformative as to what the article is about and should have keywords placed in it as well. Also place up to 1 keyword per 100 words in your article that is relevant to the article. This will help with search engine rankings and will allow your article to appear in more searches done by the reader or customer.
