The Flyers have really no business playing in the Stanley Cup wagering finals. This is a team that was no more than mediocre for most of the whole NHL wagering season. This is also a team that, on the last day of the season, barely qualified for the NHL Playoff wagering action by winning a shootout against the New York Rangers. Yet this is also a team that re-wrote the NHL probabilities history books by becoming the first NHL team in forty years to come back from a 3- deficit in an NHL playoff wagering series. It's a #7 seed that lost a nail-biter of a Stanley Cup betting Game 1 after leading much of the game, making it also a team that has made hockey betting fans believe anything is possible. Philadelphia might have lost the first game of the Stanley Cup probabilities competition, however the team also proved to the sports wagering world that even with having no chance of whipping an outstanding Chicago team on paper, on the ice this team can go head to head with any team in the hockey wagering competition. If the Flyers can keep up the frenetic pace of Game 1, they can win this series and lift the Stanley Cup. No one anticipated Game 1 to go down the way it did. The goaltenders were a bit suspect heading into the Stanley Cup wagering and in the first game of the series we saw why as they combined to allow a mind-numbing 11 goals. Philly must do a better job of protecting Hawks players on their own side of the ice and keeping players off the front of the net. The larger and more physical Hawks forwards had their way with the Flyers' defenders in Game 1 of this hockey wagering matchup. The Flyers might wind up regretting Game 1 as they truly let the game get away. Chicago's top line of Jonathaw Toews, Patrick Kane and Dustin Byfuglien were terrible when they went a combined minus-9 in the game. The Flyers didn't put in a single penalty and they still lost. Chicago understand that they likely stole a game they shouldn't have won. That won't bode well for philadelphia who were underdogs to start with. Once the underdog doesn't win a match they should, they almost never win the NHL wagering series. Chicago proved they can win when they didn't have a single power play and without their top line doing anything. In Game 2 on Monday, when they overcame the Flyers 2-1, they played an obviously better game. Expect to see a much more aggressive Flyers team on defense and expect the team to keep on charging hard at the goal on the other end. If the defense can tighten up just a bit and win the struggle against Chicago's forwards the Flyers have a good shot of taking a game on the enemy's ice and heading back to Philly in control of the Stanley Cup betting momentum.
