Bed Bug Exterminator: When's It Time To Call One

Health
Bed bugs aren't just an imaginary insect your parents invented to warn you about when you go to sleep, and it's harder to keep them from biting than you ever thought. They're real enough and when they get into your home, you've got to call the bed bug exterminator. This is the only proven way to get rid of them. But how do you know when it's time to give the bed bug exterminator a call? Here are some warning signs to help you.

Look For Bites

These critters usually only come out at night, and only in the middle of the night when you're probably sleeping. This is why they're so darn hard to catch. A bed bug exterminator knows just where to find them, but for you it's another matter entirely. Usually we only know about them from their bites.

The bites usually come in a series of three. It can be difficult to spot because different people react differently to them. For some folks, you get an itchy rash. Other people will experience swelling. One good way to tell if this is what you've got is to look at the location of the bites. They don't like hair so they'll usually bite you in an area where you don't have any.

Inspect Your Sheets

Sometimes, they'll leave behind evidence on your sheets that they've been there munching on you. Your bed bug exterminator will often ask you if you've seen a brownish trail left behind on your sheets at night. This is a fluid that they often leave behind them as they crawl back to their hiding spots. You may or may not be able to find these trails, but if you do it's something you should definitely tell your bed bug exterminator.

Check The Cracks

They will also sometimes leave behind egg cases, poo stains or shed skins in areas around the beds. Look especially at cracks in the wall located along the floor. These are likely places where they might hang out. While you're not likely to actually find them since they're so good at staying hidden, you might find evidence that they've been there. When you find this stuff, you know you've got an infestation, and it's definitely time to make the call.

Caught Red Handed

Although it's uncommon, some people do actually catch them in the act. These critters are small and oval in shape. They're reddish brown and they don't fly. On average, adults are around 6 millimeters in length and adults can be quite a bit smaller. They're flat and look a little like ticks, which they're often mistaken for.

These legendary critters are as real as you and me, and if they're living in your house and feeding on you at night, you can have some serious pain and discomfort. If you've got an infestation, the only thing to do is call the bed bug exterminator. They'll be able to get the little buggers right where they live, and you won't wake up with itchy skin anymore.

If you think you have visitors in your bedroom, a bed bug exterminator in Boston can help rid you of all your worries. Find more information at: www.ultrasafepest.com
