Eastern Conference 1. Chicago Bulls. Boozer is hurt again, but the Bull have the ageless Kurt Thomas who has done a wonder job filling in for him. What more can he do to stay in the rotation once Boozer gets back? 2. Boston Celtics. Two bad losses to Clippers and 76ers may end up costing them the top seed. The good news is that Krstic who I’ve nicknamed “the invisible man” averages almost 15 and 15. Not bad for a guy who was supposed to be a throw in. 3. Miami Heat. The Heat rebounded from a rocky start of last week to win their last two games. They’ve either turned the corner and ready for another streak or that can be attributed to the fact that they just own the Lakers. This week will tell. 4. Orlando Magic. Van Gundy went off on Stern for the abuse that Howard’s been taking. Stern quickly told him to, “shut up and worry about his own team.” He should have also to him to tell his team to stop jacking up so many threes. 5. Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks are pissed off because whenever they play at home against the LA or NY the road team has the home court advantage. Oh that’s the problem. I thought the reason why they lose is because they have no half court offense. 6. New York Knicks. The Knicks problem is they have are basically a bunch of dwarfs and even the bad teams with size like the Pacers pound them into the ground. The Knicks and Spike Lee hope get on a winning streak because the 76ers are closing in on the Knicks and possibly ruining the dream first round matchup between the Heat and Knicks. 7. Philadelphia 76ers. The win against the Celtics was huge for the 76ers. They now have the confidence that they can play with anybody. The reality is everybody takes them lightly. That won’t happen in the playoffs. 8. Charlotte Bobcats. The Bobcats only have this spot because everybody else had an awful week. Starting center Kwame Brown is scaring the heck out of the Bulls or Celtics in a first round match up. Western Conference Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers had a good road trip blowing out the Spurs and beating the Mavericks. But it was a little weird of Kobe shooting for an hour and after the tough Heat loss. Somebody should have told him he would be better off on the streets of south beach. San Antonio Spurs. It might be time for Popovich to start resting some of their stars because no one is going to catch them for the best record. Then again maybe he knows the Spurs do not have the ability to “flip the switch” like another team out west can. Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks do have more size up front and Dirk is still unstoppable at times, but they had no answer for the Lakers Bynum other than the free throw defender who made him miss five in row, before he made the last two that clinched the win. Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder must be mystified, Krstic barley registered when he was there, now he can’t be stopped. Meanwhile Perkins just sits and looks mean on the sidelines. Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets are flying are the radar. All they keep doing is winning and no one outside of Denver notices except Carmelo. Portland Trailblazers. Gerald Wallace has helped out a lot but I can’t see them scaring a top seed. They need Roy to get back to form before I considered them threat. New Orleans Hornets. The good news is that they got Chris Paul back, but bad news is that they are still in the western conference and have no shot in the playoffs. Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies are young and talented team but they are in need of a good veteran point guard who can show them the way. Also wouldn’t hurt to get leading scorer Rudy Gay back. http://MrCleo3586.info
