Age Regression Age regression is one of the more popular hypnosis techniques used by accredited hypnotherapists. With this hypnosis technique, hypnotherapists place suggestions into the patient's mind, allowing them to revisit thoughts and feelings that they have had at a certain point in their life. The way that the hypnosis technique of age regression therapy works is by helping the patient to remember the very first time they experienced the problem or bad habit that they are trying to correct. This helps the subconscious remember what needs to been forgotten and acts as a release of the emotional trauma from an earlier time. This occurs if the memory has a negative emotion attached to it. When the subconscious mind is aware that you are ready to deal with the emotion, it can represent the memories for resolution. Within the subconscious mind, people are much more aware, and more in tune with their senses.
