The best colors for brown eyes are green and gold, which will pick up the colored flecks in your eyes. If you have green eyes, lavender and mocha look best. And for blue eyes, brown and rose colored shadows contrast the coolness of your eyes, making them pop out. 9. The key to creating a dramatic nighttime look is simple: smudge away! After putting on your eyeliner, go over your upper and lower lashes with a dark colored shadow and smudge, smudge, smudge. Put a slightly lighter shade on the crease, and a shade a bit lighter up to your brow line. Smudge the edges of each color so that they gently blend together and seem to almost melt into each other.
