There was a time when sweepstakes were banned in many countries of the world, but now they are more or less accepted globally. Winning prizes at giveaways is also a matter of luck just like in sweepstakes or in games of lottery. Online giveaways have become popular along with normal mode of the game. Many a times, it has been seen that special offers are provided in departmental stores or in front of shopping malls or restaurants. People collect some basic data about you like name, location, contact number and email address and say that there will be lucky draw. Winning in such a lucky draw can get you attractive giveaways from the respective source. The prizes can range from gift items to gift cards. Many organizations use giveaways and sweepstakes as promotional means and part of marketing strategy. These games are organized for the common people so that they can participate in them and win prizes. It also helps in building a solid customer base. People participating in the games of sweepstakes and giveaways have to furnish some basic details about themselves like their name, contact number, postal address and so on. On participating in the games, candidates are also given free samples of the product. Later the candidates are contacted through phone or email to know about the product and get a feedback. This is a kind of survey that is done through sweepstakes and giveaways.
