If you think Disney's the only one reaping loads of money from the television hit Hannah Montana, think again. Miley Cyrus has grown into a massive teen idol since her show, Hannah Montana, hit the airwaves, and it seems that nothing's gonna stop her now. She recently launched a tour which would take her to various states in the U.S. and previous reports say that her tickets literally flew out of the stores. This became a problem to the hundreds of other eager fans who would like to see her in concert. The tickets were immediately sold, leaving the fans to look for other ways to purchase them. The solution was to approach a scalper. However, being the tricky businessmen that they are, the scalpers have been selling these tickets at unbelievable prices. Apparently, scalpers have hogged the tickets and are now selling it from $200 to thousands of dollars per ticket. Ticket Liquidator prices the second row floor seats in Texas for $2,295 while StubHub, a popular concert ticket website, priced $3500 for a November concert date in Florida. TicketsNow started selling at $70 and ranging to over $1600 for Miley Cyrus show in North Carolina. Pollster's editor-in-chief Gary Bongiavanni anticipated this occurrence. 'Up to 80 percent of inquiries of tickets come from these brokers,' he said. 'The average fan is competing with a pro whose mission is to score these tickets. Fans are at a disadvantage.' In St. Louis, 1900 tickets were up for purchase at their original prices. Yesterday, the fans with photo IDs and credit cards were able to purchase the tickets to Miley Cyrus' show in Minnesota. The concert tour begins on October 18, and will take her to 53 other cities to perform live. The sale of tickets will be the same for a December date in Kansas City. As of now, no one has taken responsibility for this incident, however, attorney generals in various states have threatened and filed lawsuits against brokers. They do not accept any part in the problem, however, despite the fact that scalping is illegal in many states. AEG Live president Debra Rathwell had only one thing to say: 'We are doing everything possible to stop scalpers from being able to purchase tickets.'
