Rapid weight gain is another side effect, which can occur due to use of Multaq. Some patients may suffer from wheezing, cough, chest pain, coughing up mucus while using Multaq. Use of Multaq could also lead to confusion or jerky muscle movements. Some patients may develop extreme thirst while using this drug. Some patients may develop increased urination or dark urine too, while using this drug. Its use could also lead to leg discomfort, muscle weakness or limp feeling. If a patient has developed dark urine, persistent nausea or vomiting, loss of appetite, severe abdominal pain or yellowing of eyes and skin or itching, he or she must call the doctor as they may be symptoms of any liver disease. Some patients may develop unusual and severe dizziness or fainting with use of this drug, which could be lethal for the patient. If a patient develops Muscle weakness, muscle cramps, confusion or disorientation, patient should tell the doctor, as it may be a sign of low electrolyte level (low level of potassium or magnesium). Patients may develop signs of heart arrhythmia such as dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, or a rapid heart rate or a very slow heart rate (bradycardia). In such case he should call the doctor immediately. Patients may suffer some of the side effects of Multaq. Some patients may have no side effects.
