There are many benefits to franchising, as opposed to starting a new business from scratch, such as the following: * Established Track Record * Faster Start Up * Franchise Assistance * Less Risk * Low Investment * Name Recognition/Brand Awareness * Purchasing Power. Franchise businesses provide the benefit of a proven operating system, and franchisors have concepts and products available to help them along the way, as well as s history to learn from. Franchisees also tend to enjoy faster start-up than independent entrepreneurs, because they can draw from the experience that others have gained when starting up their own operations. Franchisees are never alone either; they will receive valuable, ongoing franchise assistance such as location selection, training, recipes, marketing and new technology. Franchising experts are always available to help develop a business plan, hire and manage personnel and find ways to become more profitable. There is much less risk involved in franchising compared to other types of business start-ups, because of the experience, expertise and proven resources that support the business. Franchise businesses succeed at the rate of 90 percent. The investment required to open up franchise businesses is minimal, though. Franchisors often help new franchisees borrow money from lending institutions, too. The franchise assistance doesn’t end there, though. Franchising comes with the built-in assistance of an established brand of products or services, which makes marketing much easier. Franchisees can focus on growing and contributing to the brand rather than creating it from the ground up. The purchasing power is also a huge help, because large buying groups can typically demand significantly lower prices on goods and services. Franchising just makes sense from a business perspective, because the business is already there, and the franchisee can simply step in to build the brand and manage the facility, while profiting from every ounce of hard work they put in.
