For the majority of golf shots, the swing is one of the most important aspects. So to help you with your approach, I will pass on these swing tips that have helped me on the course. Since putting them into practice, I have seen a marked improvement in my game. This will show properly how to swing in golf. 1. You must turn your body in one smooth movement while keeping your legs fixed and stable on the ground. You must pivot around a fixed axis. 2. You must keep your arms at full stretch throughout the back swing and the golf down swing. Finally with the follow through. This needs to be achieved as one smooth movement. 3. You must hinge the wrists back at the top of the backswing. 4. You must delay hitting of the ball as late in the backswing as you can. 5. You must make sure that your upper body remains relaxed. Tensing any muscles could severely effect your swing. 6. You must concentrate on the swing as one movement at all times. Don't try to deconstruct it. You need your swing to flow.. In my opinion the last point is the most important All of your movements in golf should be as one smooth movement. Your swing should be natural and not forced in any way. Everything you do in golf has a physical and mental aspect to it. Trying to clear your mind before you step up to the tee will benefit you greatly. Also trying to keep yourself in good physical condition will have a major effect. Tony, a good friend of mine was having problems on the course; you know the kind of things, hitting the club into the ground, 'topping' the ball, slicing etc. You see, he was always worrying about how he would play the next shot. He'd mentally talked himself into playing a bad shot before he'd even played it. I taught Tony how to relax and clear his mind. He's also got himself a bit fitter. His all round game is now much better. He knows not to worry about the next shot. Every movement tony now makes with a club in his hand, is as one, there's no stopping at the top of the backswing. His whole golf swing is now one smooth, swift movement. He's thanked me by beating me consistently. Ah well, that's gratitude for you. So all you need to do is to follow Tony's example and put these six tips into action. I promise you, you will improve your game. For more great golf tips and information go to www.ukgolfballs.co.uk
