Thanks for checking out my summary of Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring course. I wish to bestow you a worthwhile insight into what the course is about. I know the course has been public for a couple of years now, and that I'm kind of late to the party, but I just re-read it again for about the fifth time the other day and continue garner nuggets of marketing insight from it. That being said, you've doubtless came to the conclusion that I'm a devotee. And you would be right. I have worked off and on in network marketing/MLM for a good share of the previous 20 years and reading Magnetic Sponsoring literally altered my life by changing the way I understood this industry and went about marketing. I was a strong disciple of the time-honored marketing philosophy, you know: create a list of everyone you know, or tell everybody who comes within 3 feet of you about your program, purchase leads and spend hours on the phone cold calling these leads to pitch them the program, etc. Basically runnng after people till every person I know went the other direction if they observed me approaching or were always just a bit too busy to take my calls. Now for much of the last couple of years, I sort of discounted any advertisements I observed for these gurus who would direct me how to market. I mean, "hey, I was doing this before there was an internet and while this guru was still in elementary school!" But when I saw Mike Dillard's advertisement about having the those in the market seek me, credit card in hand, in lieu of me pursuing them. Well that earned my attention. Because I was truly tired of runnng after people, and even more tired of rejection. To make a long story short, I decided to take the dive and plunked down $39 for the book. Today I feel that $39 in all likelihood the finest investment I've ever made. Magnetic Sponsoring introduced me to Attraction Marketing, which began to educate me how to position myself to lure people who are searching for what I have to put on the market. Mike Dillard also introduced me to the theory of the self-funded proposal, which would consequently finance my marketing efforts. Most importantly, Magnetic Sponsoring taught me to promote myself, as opposed to any company or product. This book trained me how to position and present myself as an expert, as a person of distinction, a person who could help solve the predicament of others. Like any other book or course, Magnetic Sponsoring will not work if you don't work it. This course of study is not a silver bullet. If it's to be, it's still up to me (or you). The book is less than 100 pages, so Dillard does not go into a ton of detail about any of the concepts that he teaches here, but then he does not present this book as the be-all end-all treatise of marketing wisdom. He also doesn't mince words. There is no fluff here. There is plenty enough here though to start you down the right path. And if you stay the course, implement what you learn and build on it, you will likely join the ranks of the 3% that genuinely succeed in the network marketing industry.
