The Essential Elements Of Any Business Website

Advice,Internet,Internet Marketing
A website that will generate new business for you requires much more than an artistically talented web design London company. It also requires a talented and astute business and marketing agency or consultant who can guide your overall strategy and ensure that the website is an effective tool in delivering that your business objectives so that your website yields a high return on investment.

Whether you have an existing product or service or intend to create one, successful marketing on the Internet requires that certain key factors are in place before go ahead with your plans.

What product or service are people interested in? It’s so easy to fall in love with your product and be blinded by the fact that everyone one else wants or needs it.

It is very essential to research with as much objectivity as you can to find out whether other people besides you really want or look for your product or service on the Internet? Is your product or service sufficiently different from everything else on the market? It can be a harsh wake-up call to realise there are very few people who will love or pay for your product or service. Equally shocking to realise that other people are offering what you thought was a unique product at a much lower price.

Being realistic now will save you money, time and disappointment. You need to put your passion and belief in your product or service to one side and be totally objective. A website is an expensive luxury if no one is interested in what you are hoping to sell.

The importance of Keywords Keywords are the exact words or phrases which Internet users type into search engines such as Google, Yahoo, or MSN to find the web pages containing the product or services and information they’re looking for on the Internet.

The idea is that you incorporate the most popular of those relevant keywords or phrases into every aspect of your website so that when someone types in that phrase, your website pops up.

Choosing the right keywords is of utmost importance. If you get them wrong you may as well close up shop because no one will find your website. If you get them right, you can expect to have a massive increase in the number of potential visitors to your site.

A Professional & Distinctive Looking Website Consumers make up their minds about the credibility of your business in less than three seconds when visiting your website, so first impressions are crucial. For this reason the design, the presentation, the layout, the typeface and the images – must convey a message of professionalism and be psychologically compelling and distinctive and have a key core message.

Make sure the graphics and visuals don’t distract visitors from the overall purpose of the site and the purpose of each individual page. Keep the graphics simple and relevant, the graphics should in some way enforce your core brand messages and have a purpose. Graphics will slow down the loading of your website so only keep those that are highly relevant to your product or service.

A website that is user friendly and gets your message across. Keep your home page as simple as possible. Ensure your language is understandable, use simple words and short paragraphs. Make sure you convey your core message as effectively as possible.

Ask questions which target the core benefit or need behind your products and services rather than telling your business life story or narrating the features of your products. People are interested in benefits not features so convery thes

Achieve high search engine rankings Your website must be developed by a web design company who understands search engine optimisation so that it achieves a high ranking in Google and other major search engines. – this is the key to the success of your business through the internet.

The more prominent your search engine presence for strategically chosen keywords, the more potential sales leads you will attract which you can convert into new business.

The point of ‘search engine marketing’ is to achieve high ranking in the major search engines for search phrases that are relevant to your company’s product or service. Choose different variations of keywords and keyword phrases that potential visitors may use when performing a search. It’s important to choose keywords that not only result in more traffic to your site but lead to conversion and sales.

Keywords should be placed in your meta tags, text, title and image alt tags. Your title should contain your most important keyword or phrase that potential customers will use when searching. If you don’t use keywords that you placed within your meta tags through your text, search engines will ignore them. The reason for this is that search engines look at these elements as a weighted basket, to determine the relevance of your website.
