Each invite needs to include: • Who the shower benefits • Date of the shower • Time • Where the shower is being held • Directions on how to get there • RSVP date and phone number • Any special instructions, such as what to bring, or gift guidelines • Where the new mom is registered Baby Shower Themes There are many themes you can choose from. With each theme, you will want the Christmas baby shower invitation wording to be just right. Below are some ideas. Baby Jesus Since a new baby was born on Christmas, embrace the Christmas baby by celebrating another new baby closer to home with a Baby Jesus theme. Talk with the hostess before hand to find out how she celebrates Christmas and use her traditions to guide your shower and gifts. Ask each guest to bring a present in a certain category. Make sure you include which category the guest is assigned on the invite. • Baby's First Christmas Keepsakes • Under the Tree Gift • Necessities • Something for Mommy • Stocking Stuffers When decorating for the shower, keep it festive with a wreath, holly, and a small Christmas tree decorated with ornaments that mom can take home to put on her tree at home. • Baby's First Christmas Feel free to play with the Christmas theme. Baby's First Christmas shower can be similar to the above shower idea. Feel free to assign categories, or give them a more general gift idea. Wording Suggestion "Baby Johnson will be here in time for her first Christmas! Help mommy prepare by bringing a gift that Baby Johnson will need. Feel free to also include a stocking stuffer or Christmas ornament." Last Christmas Before Baby If the baby is not going to be born until after the New Year, you can do a theme for Mommy celebrating her last Christmas without kids. Wording Suggestion It's Christy's last Christmas until she becomes a mom! Let's celebrate the upcoming birth of her baby by helping her prepare. Please include a gift, poem, or advice to help Christy and Steve remember that they are a couple once baby comes and they become three. Santa's Little Helper If mom and dad are calling their little peanut "Baby Elf" or Santa's Little Helper, go with it and use elves as the theme. Find some stationary of little elves getting ready for Christmas and play with the wording. Wording Suggestion Santa is bringing Sue and Tom a very special Christmas gift! Help them get ready on Dec. 16. Charity Shower For a mom who already has everything or who loves an opportunity to give, a charity shower is a great way to celebrate her new baby while benefiting others. The following idea can be added to any of the above shower ideas. The Christmas Spirit What better way to celebrate the season of giving then to help a new mom and a charity? Each guest brings a gift for mom, and another gift to donate to a specified charity of the new mom's choice. Wording Suggestion In the Spirit of this giving season Help us celebrate the birth of Baby Sanders while helping the children Of the local Domestic Shelter at the same time Date: Place: Time: Please bring two gifts, one for Baby Sanders And a donation for the Shelter Feel free to be creative with your Christmas Baby Shower invitation wording. No matter what theme you decide on, you will have a very happy mom and baby-to-be. Thanks for reading my article on the subject of Baby Shower Invites.
