Welding is a process much in demand. They are used for maintenance purposes, repair purposes or to build something new. There are a variety of welding processes available in the market. Selecting the right process and the right wire welder is often a challenging task. A properly selected welding method can save hours of production, repairs, polishing and grinding or rejected welds. Whatever be the reason behind welding, everyone would want the welding to last for a long time. Wire welding is a process which is mostly used in all welding processes. The wire picks up the electric current supplied by the standard power source and creates the arc needed for the welding purpose. There are two types of wires which are used. The wire can be a solid wire coupled with a shielding gas or a self shielded wire with flux inside. A self shielded flux cored wire is the best to be used as it can be customized to match the base metal, which can provide a better weld. The weld also becomes less sensitive to rust and scale formation. Wire welding can work well when combined between MIG and flux cored capabilities. A good quality wire welder can cost much depending on its size but the way they work is quite cost effective. A wire if bought efficiently can be really useful in the welding industry as it is used in almost all welding processes. Solid wire, self shielded flux cored wire and all other types of wire work well only when they are applied correctly. The type of wire chosen depends upon certain factors like the location of the work site, thickness of the application, proper combination of the shielding gas and the type of equipments which are available. Each type of wires used has their advantages and drawbacks and when applied with the correct parameter settings, can yield the best results. Both types of wire should be available for wire welding as the welder has to decide on the type of the wire based on the circumstances.
