Kitchen Ingredients For Carpet Cleaning

Home Improvement,Fashion & Cosmetics,Current Affairs
Yes, you can make use of a kitchen ingredient as a substitute for expensive commercial carpet cleaning products and save yourself some cash while still getting your carpet spotless and clean. And this kitchen ingredient is none other than vinegar.

There are cleaners which we can buy from the store, supermarkets or home improvement shops but they can be expensive and hard to afford. If you are looking for some ways to save some of your household budget, why not try some readily-available materials at home and concoct you own carpet cleaning solutions.

You will be surprised that there are actually some potent kitchen and personal stuffs that can also double as cleaning agents for your carpet.

For a carpet made with synthetic fibers,

Use about a quarter teaspoon of dishwashing liquid, mix this with a single cup of slightly warm water;or Use a cup if white-colored vinegar mixed with two cups of plain water; or Use an oil solvent. If oil solvent is unavailable, use a polish remover for the nails, the type with no acetone.

One useful recipe for a homemade spot remover or cleaner, which may be as good as commercial cleaning solutions, is a paste mixture of white vinegar and some baking soda. Get a used old tooth brush with soft bristles or anything that is similar to this and apply the paste to the stain on the carpet. When the paste has dried, vacuum it to remove the stain. If there are still some stains remaining on the carpet, just repeat the process. Baking soda and vinegar are both kitchen and food ingredients which are also powerful cleaners for the entire household.

Vinegar can really do a wonderful job in cleaning the carpet as long as you use it properly. It can be utilized to eliminate stains and marks on the carpet without costing you a ton of money. Vinegar can be acquired fairly easily and it is very cheap as compared to expensive carpet cleaning products in the market.

You can use vinegar in a number of ways, but the most popular and common method of harnessing the cleaning properties of this wonder ingredient is by making it as a base for a carpet cleaning solution.

All you need to do is mix one part of the vinegar with four parts of warm water and voila, you already have for yourself an effective carpet cleaning agent. You then use this cleaning solution by applying it directly onto the stained area of the carpet and then using a clean white cloth to blot the stain until it is removed.

Vinegar and other kitchen ingredients have lots of benefits to offer. They are inexpensive, they contain no harsh chemicals and thus safe for everyone at home, even kids or pets. Yet whether you are using chemical or natural cleaners, always keep in mind to practice safety when handling the cleaners. Make sure the homemade cleaners does not come in contact with your eyes and wash your hands immediately after cleaning.
