Most British tourists opt for HOLIDAY RENTALS IN SPAIN and have done so for decades. Their choice is based on the gorgeous weather, exquisite locations, pristine beaches, ancient monuments, culinary delights and unbelievable wines along with an array of activities such as golf, swimming and a vibrant nightlife. With millions of tourists frequenting these shores each year, the question has to be asked: is there a real Spain out there somewhere? The answer is a resounding yes and it is alive and well on the Costa de Almeria. It has all the amenities necessary to make for a good holiday. Located in the eastern part of Andalucia on the Mediterranean coast, the Costa de Almeria is home to the flamenco and bullfights as well as being the birthplace of Picasso. When travelling the coastline, don't be surprised at the number of ancient Moorish villages, or in some cases what is left of them, orange groves and miles of grape vines you will encounter. One of the best examples of a Moorish fortified castle is Alcazaba which is second in size to the famous Alhambra. The Alcazaba is located on a hilltop with strong walls and towers enough to support an army. The only desert in Europe is the Tabernas which has been home to the shooting of a number of films including "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". These films are referred to as Spaghetti Westerns but there have been a lot more films shot here in this desert which has a moon-like quality. A nature lover will feel as though they are a paradise when visiting the natural park of Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata. The park covers a tremendous amount of ground and sea starting in the village of Carboneras with the Sierra de Cabo de Gata mountain range then extending out into the sea with an area of some 120 square kilometres. All this is home to over some 1,100 species of fauna with birds forming the major part. Besides its miles of pristine beaches near your HOLIDAY RENTALS IN SPAIN where you can run and play on the sand is what it brings all this together, the climate. Not only does it have a unique climate due to the desert with its sunny dry winters it also has hot summers. Like the rest of the Andalucia's coast the breeze of the Mediterranean will keep you cool during this hot period. With over 320 days of sunshine and very little cloud cover this is the perfect location for a holiday.
