Whenever you are using flexible circuits, it provides you with a successful start up program. The supply chain team is like a commodity that needs proper care and attention. It results in poor quality products along with higher start up costs for delayed product introduction. The flex circuits provide enormous opportunity for packaging and electronics designers. These electronic systems can be twisted and folded into different configurations. They also provide significant design advantages over a two-dimensional and inflexible printed circuit boards. The added dimension is the ultimate dream that every engineer aspire for. There are certain robust designs that are achieved quite easily with the help of hard work of engineers. There are different manufacturing methods and material sets that are used by FPC as an immediate dimensional product. The printed circuits are more stable as compared with the standard polyimide film that is used as a building block for the flex circuits produced. It also increases dimensional variability with a flexible circuit design that provides a rigid printed circuit board. There is various design software available which are used as a rigid PCB design rule that creates manufacturing and functional problems for flexible circuits. However, a flexible circuit design really takes care of the design modules. These modules usually have solder mask or cover film openings. In the cases of fabrication for flexible circuitry, the dimensional changes after exposure lead to copper plating and etching. There are changes that are accounted for flexible circuitry design rules that require larger tolerance for subsequent registration for stiffeners and die cuttings. The flexible design rules provide larger tolerance capability to accommodate subsequent registrations. This in turn provides spacing between fuse pads and adjoining traces. Whenever the cover film or the mask is made larger the edges of the adjacent conductor is traced.
