A new study by a USC professor attempted to figure out the actual effectiveness of iPad apps in learning. About 122 fifth-graders from two schools and four math classes were used to assess the effectiveness of an iPad app for improving students' fractions knowledge and attitudes. The study was the first to document learning and motivation gains achieved using iPad. Even without data of this nature, more than 600 school districts nationwide have already integrated iPads into their curriculum. Here are some of the study's key findings: - Fifth graders fractions test scores improved 15% after playing the math game for 20 minutes over 5 days. This was a significant increase compared to the control group. - Students' confidence towards fractions improved an average of 10%. - Virtually all students rated the game as fun and said it helped them learn. So why not apply the same for your PMP Exam Prep? There are many ways to prepare for the PMP Exam. Mobile devices such as iPad have a number of unique features that provide for interesting possibilities in eLearning. As a completely portable learning tool, the iPad can be your best companion to keep you focused on your certification objectives anywhere you go. There are many Project Management mobile apps on the App Store. Many have beautiful interfaces putting your PMP Exam Prep just a few taps away, some even providing hundreds of multiple-choice questions. One important thing ro remember is that iPad doesn't support Flash, meaning that Flash video files (in FLV or FV4 formats for example) are not an option if you select eLearning companies providing online video-based trainings. Instead chose online providers who use MP4 video which work on the iPad. For audio, of course you can always use MP3 format. In essence, good online training providers select MP3 and MP4 media formats not only because they are supported on the iPad and other mobile devices, but also because they work with a wide range of HTML5 browsers (such as IE9, Chrome, Safari) making their platform a standard one across all devices for your PMP Exam Prep. The PMP Certification Exam is known to be a tough one. You will be presented with 200 multiple-choice questions to complete within 4 hours. One of the tools that you can use for keeping your focus on your exam prep is to have mobile apps placed on your device or tablets.
