Tanzania is the land of wild and a dream of most wildlife enthusiasts. So if you happen to travel to this great wildlife rich country, follow the special luggage and equipment instructions being listed below. Traveling through a safari tour in comparison to a leisure trip comprised of just hotels could be entirely different. While going for a safari tour the first thing to remember while choosing your safari luggage is absolute mobility and light-weight. You will probably be moving between several different modes of transport (airplanes, light aircraft, jeeps, trucks, boats). Your bag/ luggage should be absolute sturdy, easy to hold and pack and definitely much lighter in weight for you might have to carry it yourself for some distance. While going on a safari it is advisable that you have one large bag and one small bag or the day-pack which is very handy to transport the items you need while driving around in the safari vehicle or walking through the bush. You can take it out from the bigger luggage at your stay place and carry the smaller one on shoulders with all your necessary items. Since you are on a safari, the foremost thing that you wish to have on the game ground is the camera, a big one. So the bag case should be strong enough to take care of the occasional mishandling. Suitcases with wheels don't work very well in the jungles but they are adequate if you don't mind carrying them. A good safari company will probably have someone on hand to carry your luggage for you, but again why take the risk in odd circumstances. Safari Binoculars and Camera: A proper camera is something you should never miss. And since it is a game in the open through wide fields, strong and clear lenses are necessity. Not to mention, though a binocular can be an exception, however you would never want to carry your memories back home after the safari only in your head. A camera is something that will multiply your trip to many folds. Additionally you can add Flashlight or headlamps, Lenses, Memory Cards & extra flash batteries and lens cleaner. A small bean bag. If you plan to be a part of a camping safari, a Sleeping Bag has to be carried. It could be supplied by your safari company, so it is better you check with them in advance. Travel pillow, or you can use your polar fleece/windbreaker Money belt Washing powder/travel soap for laundry Plug adaptors Lighter/waterproof matches A small torch could be very handy. Travel alarm clock. Mini combination locks (keys get lost). Mini sewing kit and last but the most important First aid kit: Your safari company could carry one, but never rely on others for such important things. The first aid kit in this case should be joint up with your regular medicine kit (if you are running on any medicine) with a supply of at least a month. Insect bites and mosquito repellent are foremost. World of Safaris
