Pub Quizzes are quizzes which are held in public houses. These public houses can be either pubs or bars of that respective country. This trend is followed in many countries for making the evenings of people more interesting and entertaining. This new form of quizzing was initially started in UK long time back, but today it’s almost famous in half of the world. These quizzes are also known as Trivia Nights which is based on the name of the game called Trivia and are mostly conducted in the late evenings to mid night time. These quizzes are conducted in weekdays by the bars to help in increase the revenue generation as on weekdays people are so tired that they do not go to bars or pubs. But these games act as motivating factors to invite them to pubs. And there is another advantage which these public houses get by hosting these games is that they gain popularity. The more they host games the more they pull people towards them. As these games are held in groups and in several rounds so it helps in retaining their customers as they would come week after week to continue the game. Trivia Nights has acted as an additional attraction to the tourists also. If tourists visit that country where these quizzes are conducted they specially play them. The questions in this quiz are related to the country of the host. Each and every details of the country is covered such as – • Social life of the country • Political information, famous people • Culture and food habits of the country • Sports and other activities • History and other remarkable events of the country • Tourists spots and other famous places These trivia nights attract people more as this acts as a source of earning money as the winner is rewarded. The rewards are in the form of cash and discount coupons. Occasionally to make the game more interesting the pubs offer free drinks as a reward. Trivia Night questions are prepared by special organizations which make sure that the answers are accurate and in any way do not breach the security concerns of the country. They make sure that the content does not harm anybody’s feelings and neither discloses any confidential information of the country. The questions help people gain more knowledge and information about the country they are residing in along with having fun. The questions are categorized in 3 major categories- Easy, Medium Hard and Very hard based on their complexity. The quiz starts with easy questions and as the competition becomes harder the level of questions also increases. People enjoy a lot in these games and have fun while drinking.
