The Kenosha Public Museum, located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, is a natural sciences and fine and decorative arts museum. One of three Museums in the area separated by a free Trolley Car ride. Special event details THE BEAUTY OF OUR NATIONAL PARKS THROUGH THE CAMERA LENS Presented by Brian Wolf Kenosha Public Museum Sunday, September 8 1:00 pm Take a photo tour with Brian Wolf of several of our nation’s National Parks including Yellowstone, Badlands, Grand Canyon, Grand Tetons, Great Smoky Mountains, Mount Rainier, Zion and Joshua Tree. Enjoy photos of the scenery and wildlife each park has to offer. During the slide show he shares information about each park.

SUNDAY FUNDAY: PASSPORT TO OUR NATIONAL PARKS September 29 1:00-4:00 pm Kenosha Public Museum Come venture with us as we explore the diversity of some of our National Parks! Create your own "Mt. Rushmore" with rubbings of the President's heads. Make an Everglades alligator! Learn about the stratigraphy of rocks in the Grand Canyon while designing your own of layers of "rock." Go on a scavenger hunt through the "America's Parks through the Beauty of Art" exhibit.

HARVEST FEST WITH OLD WORLD WISCONSIN Saturday, October 19 11:00 am-4:00 pm Civil War Museum First person interpreters from Old World Wisconsin will be on-site at the Civil War Museum demonstrating a variety of trades and crafts. Fun for the whole family!

DINOS IN THE DARK! Friday, October 25 4:00-6:00 PM Dinosaur Discovery Museum FREE Tickets Required for timed entry. Tickets available starting Tuesday October 15. One adult must accompany every 1-3 children Bring a flashlight and walk among the dinosaurs of the Dinosaur Discover Museum! The Dinosaurs will come alive in the shadows as you discover their unique features with your flashlight.

GETTYSBURG ADDRESS FAMILY DAY Saturday, November 23 1:00-3:30 pm Free, Drop-in Program for children with adults So what was the Gettysburg Address? In a little over two minutes, President Lincoln explained what the Civil War was and how it would impact all Americans. Particulate in multiple activities to better understand that short but important speech.

SUNDAY FUNDAY: IT'S MAGIC Sunday, November 24 1:00-4:00 pm Kenosha Public Museum In celebration of "Houdini to Hugo: The Art of Brian Selznick" enjoy a magic show and crafts featuring optical illusions.

DINOSAUR CHRISTMAS TREE TRIMMING Dinosaur Discovery Museum December 1 through 22 12:00-5:00 pm Join the museum staff in celebrating the holiday season! All throughout the month of December, we will be making dinosaur ornaments to decorate the DDM Christmas tree and we invite you to do the same. Everyday of the week, materials will be available for you to make an ornament to help fill our tree with your own, unique dino-decorations. Don't forget to make one for your tree at home too!

12th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY FESTIVAL Saturday, December 7 11:00am-3:00 pm Kick off the holiday season with a day full of sights, sounds and food to dazzle your senses! Come for lunch--Purchase foods from around the world in the International Market Special Holiday Gifts--Find that special holiday gift from one of the many ethnic artisans and crafters in the International Market. FROST FEST: WINTER MAGIC Thursday, December 26 1:00-4:00 pm Kenosha Public Museum Discover the magic of the winter season! Explore the wonder of snowflakes, the Northern Lights, and flower bulbs. Be sure to see the amazing art work of Brian Selznick in the "Houdini to Hugo" exhibit.

FROST FEST: ALL THINGS SMALL Friday, December 27 1:00-4:00 pm Kenosha Public Museum The "Exquisite Miniatures" exhibits features tiny paintings no bigger than 9"! Have fun with small things! Make a miniature iglu and a tiny scene in a snow globe. Create your own miniature painting.

FROST FEST: HERE COMES 2014! Saturday, December 28 1:00-4:00 pm Kenosha Public Museum Let's get ready for 2014! Make a folded newspaper and a noisemaker for your New Year's Eve celebration. Decorate a wall calendar to keep track of all those important 2014 dates.
