Spring is here and what better way to enjoy the good weather than to be out in your backyard constructing things with your DIY tools? Here are some projects which are simple to execute but produce amazing results that can be enjoyed by the whole family. 1. Nest boxes for your yard: Birdlife Australia has detailed guidelines on the correct dimensions of boxes for various birds and how to instal them correctly. This includes designs to shield the entrance hole from common species and encourage the endangered ones to nest. Only the basic tools like drill, hammer, saw, screwdriver and sandpaper are required. Instead, they recommend making your garden a natural habitat for the birds. 2.
