Jerusalem (CNN) -- Several hundred Sudanese immigrants rallied Sunday on thestreets of Tel Aviv, demanding refugee status. Marching towards the United Nations Refugee Agency building, thedemonstrators held up banners reading "We are not infiltrators, weare refugees," "We are human beings too" and "We are refugees, weare not criminals." The issue of illegal African migrants has been of growing concernin the Jewish state in recent months. Some residents of southern Tel Aviv neighborhoods, where there is alarge concentration of Africans, have blamed their new neighborsfor increasing levels of crime and suffocating the infrastructureand public services. Some also complain the illegal immigration ischanging the fabric of Israel. According to government records, more than 59,000 illegal Africanimmigrants have entered the country in recent years through itssouthern border with Egypt. Israel is spending millions on theconstruction of a border barrier, due to be completed later thisyear. But for now, the numbers continue to grow, with 2,031 new migrantsreported over the last month. Most of the immigrants originate from Eritrea, Sudan, and SouthSudan. They hold temporary permits to remain in the country, butIsrael says it is looking for ways to send them back to their homecountries. Last week, an Israeli court approved a government plan to deport1,500 citizens of South Sudan. Many Israeli refugee agencies and officials are pushing againstthose plans, and calling on the government to allow the immigrantsto stay. Also on Sunday, Human Rights Watch called on the Israeli parliamentto immediately repeal or amend a newly revised law which, accordingto the human rights group, "punishes asylum seekers for irregularlycrossing into Israel, in violation of their basic rights." In May, a protest in Tel Aviv turned violent, leading to thearrests of 17 people. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denounced the violence. "Theproblem of infiltrators must be resolved, and we will resolve it,"he said after the protest last month. "We will complete theconstruction of the security fence in several months and soon willstart the process of sending the migrants back to their homecountries." He added, "We will solve the problem and will do so responsibly.". We are high quality suppliers, our products such as E40 Led High Bay Light , Solar Led Flood Lights Manufacturer for oversee buyer.
